Policies for general rules of conduct by staff
All library staff including the Head Librarian, NMTC Librarian, Librarian(s), Library Clerk, and Student Assistants are to behave in a professional and courteous manner toward each other, library patrons, and other NMTC staff members at all times.
The library is first and foremost, an environment of research, study and quiet reflection.
Food and drink are not allowed in the library. Staff may consume their lunch or snack in the privacy of the workroom or their office. Food and drink are not to be consumed at the circulation desk.
Staff will assist patrons promptly and with no sign of prejudice or partiality.
Staff breaks are to be taken for 15 minutes once per four hour block of scheduled time. The lunch break is not considered part of the staff work day.
