Utility Failure Procedures

 

From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, call Maintenance (ext 4018 or 404-382-9804)

 

• After 5:00 pm, call NMTC Security (cell phone 770-529-2311)

 

• If there is danger to building occupants, call NMTC Security (cell phone 770-529-2311)

 

• If SMOKE ODORS come from the ventilation system, call NMTC Security (cell phone 770-529-2311)

 

• If a GAS LEAK is detected, call NMTC Security (cell phone 770-529-2311). Cease all operations. Do not turn on lights or electrical equipment.

 

• Turn off the power switch (not the surge protector) at all CD and personal computer workstations.

 

• If the power outage is expected to be lengthy, more than 30 minutes, prepare to shutdown the Server by logging off and turning off power to all OPACs (catalogs), Circulation and Technical Services workstations.
